More than 1,300 students attend 26 quality, non-public high schools across New York City as part of SSP. But their educational opportunity comes at a cost: these students represent about $7 million in tuition fees, and the cost to educate them rises every year.
SSP's record of success in educating at-risk students is a direct result of our Sponsors' generosity. Many of our Sponsors pay the full tuition costs for one or more of our students; their average annual donation is nearly $4,000. In total, the generous donations of our 1,600 Sponsors represent about $5.7 million in tuition payments.
Between $7 million in fees and $5.7 million in Sponsor donations lies a significant $1.3 million gap. Your gift - no matter how large or small - will be applied directly to tuition and program costs, and will help make high school graduation a reality for many of our students.
