OUR RECORD OF SUCCESS:
Student Sponsor Partners has been helping at-risk young people graduate from high school since 1986. Our model of giving each student access to a quality non-public education and the guidance of a four-year mentor is proven; below are some facts that speak to SSP's record of success.
An SSP student is three times more likely to graduate from high school than one who attends his/her local NYC public high school.
Graduation rates at the NYC public high schools that SSP students would otherwise attend range between 20% and 30%. Among SSP's class of 2009, the graduation rate was 90%.
SSP students go to college.
95% of SSP's class of 2009 went on to college. This compares to a rate of approximately 50% among New York City's public high school graduates.
SSP students receive millions of dollars in college scholarships and grants.
The class of 2009 financed their college education through over $25 million in scholarships and grants. Graduates included a recipient of the New York Times Scholarship, a Gates Millenium Scholar, and two POSSE Foundation Scholarship recipients.
